Housegroups

 

The Nodal's Housegroup - The Nodal Housegroup kicks off its second year in a new direction yet with the same laid back, fun style. It is open to people of all ages and backgrounds. Last year, we focused on common questions one might encounter in everyday situations regarding the things of Christ. Members sought answers from each other then looked to the word of God.

This year, we will focus on the letters from the Apostles to the churches in search of relevance and direction for our lives in today’s world. We aim to not only help equip those seeking to know God more but also to “do the stuff” by serving others in tangible ways.

Past activities have included bowling nights, cookouts, and game nights. A competitive volleyball team emerged from this house group and won the YMCA Volleyball Championship last April.

We meet every Friday night from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. On Third Friday, we meet at the church instead. Childcare offers crafts, age appropriate videos, and a place to do homework.

We eat good, laugh hard, cry harder, and hope to grow spiritually through it all. Come ready to worship and be loved just as you are.

The Franklin Housegroup - The Franklin housegroup has gone through a number of changes. Originally hosted by Pastor Ray, who hand-picked Rodney to lead this group, it has also moved to a new location since its inception.

Past topics of study have been such books as Celebrating Life: Catching the Thieves That Steal Your Joy by Luci Swindoll and a brand new course from Willow Creek called Crazy for Compassion.

The Franklin Housegroup has been actively seeking the face of God. Not satisfied to scratch the surface, the housegroup adopted the phrase "go deeper" to understand the Word of God in a deeper sense.

This term, the Franklin housegroup will be reading Breakthrough: Discovering the Kingdom by Derek Morphew.

Daniel's 20's & 30's Housegroup - Daniel Maldonado's 20's & 30's housegroup is the newest housegroup to make its way onto the Urban Vineyard schedule, having been founded in April 2006 - coupled with a split of the original Housegroup. This split was a result of the first Housegroup being too large.  Daniel's group is for anyone in the age range of 20's to early 30's and is made up of both single and married individuals. We meet every Wednesday night for Bible study, discussions and prayer but also plan a number of social activities each month.
